The Jakarta office of Golder Associates has an opening for the position of Social Consultant seeking a challenging position with a growth-oriented company.

 

SOCIAL CONSULTANT

Roles and responsibilities:

• Conducting international standard EHSIA assessments, baseline studies and preparing reports


• Conducting community development programs, social impact assessments and/or social strategies for manufacturing, mining, and oil & gas companies


• Conducting stakeholder mapping and consultation activities within Golder projects


• Developing land acquisition and resettlement plans


• Developing the Golder social practices (e.g. as mentioned under the IFC Performance Standards 1, 5, 7 and 8)


• Assist in marketing Golder’s environmental and social services


• Leading multi-disciplinary project teams

The preferred candidates will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Degree in social science (socio-cultural, socio-economic, anthropology or similar)


• Minimum of 5 years work experience, preferably in mining, oil and gas, or manufacturing setting which may include social impact assessments and baseline studies, Equator Principles assessments, public consultation and participation processes


• Committed to providing high quality services to private sector clients within budget and on time


• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs


• Highly accomplished in English, both written and verbal communication skills


• Intakindo certification as AMDAL team leader would be an advantage
