The Indonesian Curriculum (1994) was delineated by the former government (then the Minister of Education, Prof. Dr. Fuad Hasan) by issuing a decree prohibiting preschools from teaching reading and writing skills and prohibiting primary schools from giving entrance tests to preschool students with reading, writing, arithmatic and foreign language to preschool students. Nevertheless, it is impossible to comply with such decree because most primary schools demand acceptance of primary students to meet high standard requirements including the knowledge of foreign language(s) in anticipation of the Globalization.

The world has changed. At present, even preschool students have no choice since but to meet the change of the world, the process of education must embrace the same. In late 1999, the new government reformed the local education and introduced a crash program called ?Kindergarten for All?, as part of the efforts to encourage preschool across the country without having to worry so much about the infrastructure communities. The communities are encouraged to utilize spaces in existing homes, hall, religious places etc., for preschool facilities.

Bearing in mind the above, STI offer a conducive environment which challenges intellectuality and at the same time stimulates the creativity of students. STI equips its students with skills to discover, create and apply new knowledge in addition to preparing them to have self-discipline so that, all these may serve as the basis of their continuing education or lifeskill in the future with a global outlook.

Requierenments:

• Male / Female


• University graduate and a RSA/TEFL/CELTA Certificate or equivalent (preferred)


• Maximum 30 years old


• At least 2 years teaching a variety of general English courses, experience in teaching English in school will be highly considered


• A consistent lesson planner


• Able to deliver fun and innovative lessons


• Strong motivation and punctual


• Computer literate


• Able to join immediately, in January 2014
