Due to expansion, we are an immediate opening for the following position:

 

SENIOR PURCHASING EXECUTIVE (Based in Jakarta office)

Job responsibilities:

• Efficient procurement of spares/stores as required by vessels and sanctioned by Superintendents and/or Tech/Fleet managers


• Ensure that all purchases made are in compliance with Purchasing Policies and Procedures


• Prepare Purchase Order in SAP, follow-up with suppliers for prompt delivery and quality products


• Maintain accurate and comprehensive information on all purchases made and ensure that all purchasing records are updated and filed accordingly


• Update PO status in common drive with easy accessibility to relevant Departments


• Liaise with Freight Forwarder for shipments arrangement to vessel or warehouse


• Assist immediate superior on d-hoc reports / assignments


• Assist in identifying alternative source in line with consistent quality, delivery capabilities & terms favourable to the company


• Work closely with immediate superior to meet purchasing objectives


• Assist HOD in the preparation of Frame Agreements


• Any other duties as assigned by immediate superior

Job requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or equivalent qualification with at least 5 years experience in similar position


• Prior experience in Marine Purchasing Role is preferred


• Possess strong communication and negotiation skills


• Good basic IT Skills, preferably knowledge in SAP


• Dynamic, independent and hard working. Must be prepared to work long hours when necessary


• A team player with good working attitude and willing to learn
